The design line and intellectual flow of LATON designers follow a path along with the world’s current trends. A trend that is based on the expected features of international users.

The undeniable fact is that we don’t constantly need so many new products.

But why do we constantly buy different products?

The main reason, that forms our relationship with different products and designs, is the result that a product creates for us with its capabilities.LATON has created a deep bond with users by establishing the correct relationship between product design and expected services. Products with logic in their core have added more value and implemented specific uses

LATON, as a brand with a history of only five years since its establishment, is proud to receive this award along with top other international brands.

Smart design is an innovative solution to introduce new products with special features. With the re-introduction of the dateless calendar in 2022, LATON won 2 product design awards from Reddot Design Awards. This competition is held every year in Essen, Germany, and Reddot, the world’s most prestigious product design evaluation organization, selects the best in various categories.

Luva and Kopi were the company’s products in Reddot’s intelligent design division. Two deconstructive designs designed for different uses.

Kopi design idea

When I entered this exhibition for the first time, I noticed that visitors use a stapler to attach the business card of their business parties to a sheet of a notebook with the white content of “new notebook” and on the facing page or the same page, they write down a summary of their impressions and received information. Satisfied with my discovery, I immediately started stapling business cards into a leather-bound notebook. At the end of the day, I was dazzling. I had a book full of cards stapled and reshaped, thickened and cluttered for this reason, in my hands. This incident formed the basis of designing KOPI for me, the notebook that is now in front of you. Before designing KOPI, for using notebooks with business cards attached to them, people noticed me many times in various exhibitions. Exhibitors would hand me the stapler, and whilst feeling like a superhero, I would stick the business card handed to me using the pre-installed double-sided adhesive in my notebook instead of using a stapler. I was asked many times “Where did you get this notebook?” Many times this action was said that be very smart and for these reasons, I implemented the design and production of this efficient and of course attractive product as you can see.
